"A River Runs Through It" - This morning we woke up to the beautiful sound of the Gallatin River in front of our cabin at the Cinnamon Lodge. After packing our gear we were enjoying a last cup of coffee on the porch overlooking the river with the Gallatin Mountains as a backdrop. Then it was off to Bozeman to get our windshield replaced. Max called numerous places but none were able to do the repair the same day. But then we stumbled upon "On Site Auto Glass". Not only were they able to fix the windshield immediately but also offered to drive us to the coin laundry of their choice. It had internet access, a lounge area and a coffee bar. Plush! A new windshield and clean clothes in no time had to be celebrated at " Sweet Chili", a great Asian bistro in downtown Bozeman. After enjoying an ice cream dessert we headed towards Missoula. My idea was to show Max the old mining town of Garnet in the Mountains 50 Miles outside of Missoula. It's an old ghost town that you have to reach by dirt road. At first the road was very good but than it got progressively worse. The Jeep performed admirably until the driver (me) decided to cross a small mud pond in the middle of the road. Stuck!! In true adventurer fashion with the help of plenty logs and rocks we made it out after 2 hours. Car wash in town and we we were all good again. Phew! It was time to find a hotel. We were exhausted from our 'little adventure'.
