Not much to report today. We are still on our way back through Canada towards Seattle. The weather was beautiful until we passed Prince George. Then the temperature dropped from 87 to 59 and rain followed soon after. Fortunately, the rain disappeared as soon as we entered the Canadian Cascades. These mountains might not be as tall as the mountain ranges in Alaska, but their steep slopes and bottomless canyons make them seem equally huge. Tonight we are staying in Lillooet, the warmest town in British Columbia. Because it is in the middle of a canyon in the Cascades, all of the heat gets trapped inside. They are able to grow grapes for wine here and other fruits that can't be grown anywhere nearby! For dinner we found a taste of home, Dina's Place Greek restaurant. Still not as good as Yiayia's cooking though!
Our Jeep's been doing a lot of work lately, he deserves some recognition

First Greek food we've found so far!
Don't worry Yiayia, I'm eating well
The moon never looks as good as in real life..
Thank God you found a Greek place!
ReplyDeleteYou must be going through some serious withdrawal symptoms!
I'm sure there will be a great place to eat in Seattle. Be safe..
