Imagine looking out through the cable car window and seeing a bustling marketplace filled with stands of every food product you can think of. Everyone was busy walking about the marketplace with fresh fish, loaves of bread, and bags of vegetables. This was my first impression of San Francisco, taking the bus through Chinatown in the morning. We only had one day here but we managed to fit in a lot. Of course, we had to ride the famous San Francisco cable cars in the morning to bring us from our hotel to downtown. We explored Chinatown, one of the biggest in the major cities, and had a great lunch at an authentic Chinese restaurant. Then we walked down to Fisherman's Wharf and saw a great view of the harbor, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Alcatraz. Getting around San Francisco can be tough with the steep hills everywhere. That must explain why everyone here is so fit. We had a great day in one of the coolest cities in America and next we're off to one of the most popular national parks in the country- Yosemite.
