Today we got a chance to explore a few of Oregon's natural wonders. The road along the coast gave us a great view of the scenic shoreline that stretches hundreds of miles. What's even better is that all this land in Oregon is public land. No private ownership of beach land in allowed in order to preserve it for every one to use. Next, we took a brief stop at the Sand Dunes Recreation Area to get another view of the state. Nearby, a short hike through the forest brought us to Toketee Falls- a beautiful waterfall that we were able to appreciate from a great high up viewpoint. As the day closed, we reached our destination, Crater Lake, at the perfect time. The sun was just setting, and the full moon was suspended beautifully over the lake. Magical is the best word I can use to describe the experience.
