Day 35

Yosemite- the most popular national park in California with over 5 million visitors a year. Now I understand why. Looking through the valley at the sheer rock walls really gives a feeling of awe. It is a feeling of being completely surrounded by nature. It's true that the park can get a bit crowded, but for me that didn't take away from the experience. There is a pretty severe drought occurring in the area, so the waterfalls were lacking in most of their water. Even though the falls that we saw were amazing just for their massive size. Yosemite is also interesting for historical reasons. We learned from the documentary film at the visitors center about how a few dedicated individuals like John Muir provided the leverage for Congress to make Yosemite one of the first national parks. Overall, I feel like I need to spend more time here someday to experience everything there is to explore.

 Angel Veil Falls
The wind is pushing the water back over the cliff and keeps the falls dry...
...until enough water is pushed back into the small pond behind the cliff and the water finally falls over the cliff
